ART: THREE GRACES BY PETER PAUL RUBENS

i know, i know its a huge kind of difference as to what i normally recommend to you but since i am an art major, i cant help but let you people see what kind of things i actually learned in school and since i've been getting quite adventurous with my new found appreciation to Baroque paintings, i'd like to share the greatness that is found within the paintings of Peter Paul Rubens.

the painting that i chose to show you is called THE THREE GRACES. its not really something that you'd see everyday and it really holds a special place in my heart.



i love this painting because of how Rubens was able to capture true beauty. its not synthetic, its not fake, it shows that women shouldn't always look thin rather it encourages people women especially to embrace who they are. to accept that we come in different forms and shape. i think i dont need to elaborate more on why i really love this painting and if you google the works of Rubens you'll see that almost all the women in the paintings are shown as voluptuous and curvy.

BORING...

hi guys! so terribly sorry i wasnt able to post anything yesterday.  i was just so tired and all but anyways im here now! and i'll give you a play by play recap of what has happened to me since yesterday (yeah, i know you dont really care)

so yesterday was sunday and my family and i went to church and all and then in the afternoon i got my hair cut and i ate a filipino dessert called "HALOHALO" oh it was also palm sunday :)

today i went out with my mom to the market and bought some groceries and we also went to the tailor and got some clothes altered.

so thats how i would sume up my sunday and monday, yeah i know pretty boring and so not exciting. but hear this, im posting later a few songs that i'd recommend for you to listen. it has no particular theme, just random song that i've heard from the past month that is actually worth recommending to you guys so expect that later. for now i'll go and set that post up so until then

hi again, so i wasnt able to post anything yesterday because i really got distracted by this new book that im reading. its actually called GABRIEL'S INFERNO, its quite similar to 50 shades of grey because they were both originally fanfictions of twilight but other than that the story is totally different. half of the day i've been holed up in my room reading the first few chapters and if your into stuff like this you'll want to give this book a chance :)

another thing i did yesterday was to attend my childhood friend's 18th birthday party so a lot of things happened but the highlight of that afternoon..er night was the drinking game we did, it was really fun and to say that i go hammered id a big big understatement. but the weird thing was that i got home around 10.30 then slept until 2am and i never went back to sleep, its like i didnt drink heavy liquor the night before. hahahaaa so yeah i probably slept at around 5am and i woke up at 9am and i just continued to read the book that i have.

so right now im writing this cause i actually need a break from what im reading because its really so intense in terms of themes and the situations that are happening with the characters. so yeah on with the blog..

i've been pretty lazy this day and im just hanging out in  my room waiting for the day to end. this is what i hate about summers, the time you waste because you dont know what to do. and of course i dont want to spend my summer eating, ill totally bloat. haha

so you're probably wondering what is up about my title, well i just really love neyo's song let me love you. i think i became obsessed with it around january and i never got over it so its really nothing just another recommendation :) so that just it. i havent got any interesting things to share for now. maybe later i could come up with something to post again but until then...

SUMMER PARADISE

hi guys! im baaaack!!! and ive like missed posting here on my blog!! so lets see, last time i posted was back in 2012 and a lot has happened to me since then and i'll try to tell you what they were. so basically im just a ball of experience right now, so lets see..

no. 1: im about to finish my first year as a college student, just one more term and i'd be graduating to sendon year!!!! yey!
no. 2: i've met some new and awesome people
no. 3: ive discovered that i actually enjoy painting
no. 4: i've gotten over my pasy
no. 5: i turned 18......and crazy :)

so thats just some of the things that happened to me and im so excited for summer!! i have about a month to share with you different things and i hope that you'll get to enjoy them as well.

SO, WHAT ARE MY PLANS THIS SUMMER??
well actually i have no clue on what to do. but im hoping that there is something. as of now, im trying to get a part time job so that i could use what im learning and learn new and different things. maybe i'd set up another blog for my works and all.  im also taking into consideration starting a business, my brother suggested that i start my own tshirt company and design shirt and all, so im thinking about it. but other than that im pretty boring this summer.

so i hope that i'll get to share my adventures and down time with you this summer! until then.

Nothing Compares To You

hey there!! i've been having a lot of free time this couple of days and i'm taking this chance to post, post, post  and post. well as you know, i'm a student at MAPUA right now and having a "quarterm" really affects my schedule of posting and updating and tomorrow, October 8 will be the start of my 2nd term, so expect that my posting schedule would be irregular and would not be as often as i am posting right now.

anyways, lets shift to other things like isn't it awesome that its already my 3rd post for the music chronicles? i mean looking at my schedule i would've never expect that i could post the 3 songs that i promised and i now right now you're probably bored with all the things i am saying so here is my 3rd pick for TMC.

for my music choice today, i chose something very different from the songs that i have been posting its english but the singers are from korea. i dont consider them as a KPOP group since they dont really sing pop songs they are more of ballad and rnb style and im really hoping that you'd like this song choice.

my friend introduced them to me and i quickly fell in love with their songs and i think through this blog, i get to have the privilege to introduce new and unheard artists (well in my case i didnt really know them) so im keeping my fingers crossed that you'd like them as well. so here they are;

ANNOUNCEMENT

hey guys! you're all probably wondering what the hell happened to me. well as of today i'm going through a sick phase. i've been admitted to the hospital just last week and i stayed there for 2 nights, apart from that i am still sick. been puking (sorry for the term) all over, coughing every minute and sniffing away colds, so i feel really bad, but dont worry, i've been taking up my meds religiously and i hope that i get well soon!

next reason why i havent posted anything new is that my laptop is currently down, im just using my niece's laptop or when its unavailable im using my dad's desktop but i really really miss my lappiee i hope that it gets fixxed ASAP!!!! my brotha/sistah accidentally spilled some tinola over it and it wont start, so please please bear with me here.

i will be back soon! i promise. theres been a fuss in the internet here at the philippines about cyber something and i really really love my freedom of speech so i dont want to be called a liar and all so im laying low these times. and if you're wondering what my take is about the issue, well i'll post my own opinion on a different post. but for now im really really sorry for not updating soon! i'll be back before you even get the chance to miss me.
